Pear Harbor Remembrance Day

The attack on Pearl Harbor was a surprise military offensive carried out by the Imperial Japanese Navy against the United States naval base in Pearl Harbor (Hawaii) on the morning of Sunday, December 7, 1941. The attack was intended to be a preventive action aimed at prevent the intervention of the United States Pacific Fleet in the military actions that the Empire of Japan was planning to carry out in Southeast Asia against the overseas possessions of the United Kingdom, France, the Netherlands and the United States. The Japanese made this offensive coincide with the attack on the British Empire’s possessions in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore, which were already in their power in mid-February 1942.

Today, December 7, we want to honor those who fell in that vile attack.

El ataque a Pearl Harbor fue una ofensiva militar sorpresiva efectuada por la Armada Imperial Japonesacontra la base naval de los Estados Unidos en Pearl Harbor (Hawái) en la mañana del domingo 7 de diciembre de 1941. El ataque pretendía ser una acción preventiva destinada a evitar la intervención de la Flota del Pacífico de los Estados Unidos en las acciones militares que el Imperio del Japón estaba planeando realizar en el Sureste Asiático contra las posesiones ultramarinas del Reino Unido, Francia, Países Bajos y Estados Unidos. Los japoneses hicieron coincidir esta ofensiva con el ataque a las posesiones del Imperio Británico en Hong Kong, Malasia y Singapur, las cuales estaban ya en su poder a mediados de febrero de 1942

Hoy, 7 de diciembre, queremos honrar a aquellos que cayeron en ese vil ataque.
